The brand was brought to life on January 11th, 2017 on the college campus of Delaware State University by 3 individuals; Michael Walker, Usman Tijani (male in photo), and Tyus Gaskin. The brand originally started as $lum City Worldwide, but then later transitioned to S.L.U.M. Succeed, Lead, Unify, and Motivate a brand that stands behind these 4 principles and seeks to have a worldwide presence in the future to come and to help others do the same.

The brand has now transformed not only into quality apparel but into a movement. Giving back to the community and sculpting future leaders is our motive and mission. After several trials and tribulations, S.L.U.M. will continue to expand with our CEO at the forefront. Our missions is to SUCCEED in your actions, LEAD by example, UNIFY and collaborate with others and always stay MOTIVATED.
